Visual Workstations

VW Parts/Spares

I have the following Visual Workstation system available at the moment:

  SGI VW540
  Quad-PIII 500MHz CPUs (2MB L2 per CPU)
  1GB RAM
  73GB SCSI disk
  Dual-port QLOGIC U2W SCSI card (QLA1280, 2 x external VHDCI connectors)
  Serial Digital Video card
  Serial Digital Audio card
  Original SGI black USB Keyboard and Mouse
  Speakers

  750 UKP + shipping

  Shipping cost would be about 25 UKP to a UK destination. For other

  Extra disks can be fitted if required. Ideal for uncompressed video.

I also have a good condition empty VW320 case, perfect for modding or retro fitting with other parts, eg. fitting modern PC components into a stylish case, etc. The case contains nothing except the lower of the two normal system fans at the back of the unit. Price: 50 UKP + shipping.

Just for reference, the shipping cost to a UK destination for a VW320 system would be 15 UKP by ParcelForce48 (or 20 for PF24), while for mainland Europe it would be between 25 and 45 UKP for most destinations. Alternatively, a personal collection is welcome; I live in Edinburgh, Scotland.
